Paul Girvan specialises in Real Estate Consultancy at Cubism Law and joined the company in 2011.
Paul has been a transactional real estate lawyer for thirty years including several years as a Senior Associate with Allen & Overy and is highly experienced in the premium UK commercial real estate sector. While at Allen & Overy he developed a specialism for large scale urban renewal projects in the UK and Europe, working with institutional investors, property developers and retailers.
He studied Maths and Law at Trinity College, Cambridge, and focusses on property investment work. He has acted for a diverse range of property owners, ranging from the world's largest pension funds to banks, REITs and substantial private investors.
Working with a wide variety of well known firms Paul has been responsible for the delivery of a number of major high-profile projects including Tate Modern, Canary Wharf and the London Jubilee Line extension. In 2008 Paul restructured the leasehold title arrangements with London Underground to allow construction of Canada Water Library above the Jubilee Line in Southwark.
More recently, Paul has also worked with leading legal publisher Lexis Nexis as co-author of LexisPSL Property to create bespoke real estate documentation and online resources for property lawyers.
Paul offers investors considerable expertise in the fields of acquisition and disposal, financing, leasing and the overall management of large scale real estate portfolios.

Sustainability is a key theme in Paul's work, driving the delivery of innovative solutions for a changing world. In the renewables sector, Paul is currently working on a number of solar photovoltaic schemes.
In his spare time, Paul enjoys music, travel and good food - and trying to keep fit.
