Sanjiv Karki is a management graduate with a strong background in work for private firms involved in Consultancy and Events management. He successfully achieved an MBA for Executives in 2013. Sanjiv’s keen interest in all aspects of the legal field propelled him into undertaking a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies.

His experience working in a Central London law firm from 2009 equipped him with both financial and managerial skills, in addition to enhanced legal knowledge. Sanjiv’s ability to handle complex legal issues methodically, coupled with his strong community ties and fluency in Nepali, Hindi and Punjabi, has led his career path naturally into the field of Immigration. His rapidly acquired knowledge of immigration law and an empathetic nature to clients allowed him to quickly progress into a senior immigration caseworker. He has a specific expertise on the preparation of appeals at the First Tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal, as well as Human Rights applications.

Furthermore, Sanjiv was part of the casework team on a reported case in the Court of Appeal (The Queen on Application of Gurung & others) and still works closely with ex-Gurkha soldiers, Bhutanese, Nepalese and South Asian communities. His other areas of expertise include students, families, nationality and asylum matters.
