Peter qualified as a Barrister in the Republic of Ireland in 1988 and is a member of the Irish Taxation Institute. He started his career with Price Waterhouse (later PwC) in Dublin in 1982, becoming a tax Partner in 1989.

He spent time in client facing roles and managing practices for that firm in Brussels and Prague from 1992 to 2002 when he moved to London.

Peter qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales in 2005, since when he has focused his professional work on asset protection, tax planning and estate/generational planning for high net worth individuals.

Most of his clients are internationally mobile and active, with assets in a number of jurisdictions. Peter’s professional work reflects that profile, and he frequently needs to consider the interaction of the tax systems and inheritance rules of different countries, and the applicable tax treaties and multilateral conventions.

His clients include a number of “resident, non-domiciled” taxpayers in the UK. Peter’s work also includes the provision of second opinions in complex advisory situations, either on a preventive basis or where problems have emerged with a structure or matter.

Peter speaks both French and German and regularly provides advice in those languages.
