A woman is toasting the joys of franchise agreements after celebrating a year running her business, according to a source.

Keeley Edge started up her Simply Colors franchise after receiving an item of the firm's clothing from a family member returning from holiday, reports Gethampshire.co.uk.

Ms Edge was impressed with the garment and on learning that the company did not operate in the UK, she decided to set up the business herself.

The Fleet resident set by the franchise agreement in May 2008 and has now enjoyed a year of trading.

She told the source: "This first year has whizzed by and has set the foundations on which we intend to grow."

In other business news, firms part of franchise agreements are able to expand and maintain links with clients thanks to the implementation of the new Look Local customer relationship management and accountancy system, The Franchise Magazine recently reported.
