Soap star 'issued bankruptcy orders'

Published on 27 Jul 2009 under category: legal

A TV star has been declared bankrupt after opening a drama school last year, according to a source.

Former Emmerdale actress Kerry Stacey left her £70,000-a-year job with the soap in a bid to help youngsters looking to get into the business, reports the People.

According to the newspaper, bankruptcy orders have been issued by Nottingham County Court in relation to Ms Stacey's acting and casting firm.

She launched a drama school in Nottingham in July 2008, saying at the time that she wanted to "help people find work".

Meanwhile, Kerry Katona is a star at the centre of a different kind of story regarding bankruptcy solicitors.

The former Atomic Kitten singer was told at Manchester Civil Justice Centre that her tax bill is set to be cleared due to earnings from television work.

Ms Katona heard that her bankruptcy order will be removed in the next few weeks.ADNFCR-2391-ID-19282546-ADNFCR
