Six charged in relation to ticket fraud

Six people have been charged with fraud crimes in relation to a sports event ticketing scam.

The individuals, - Margaret Canty-Shepherd, Terry Shepherd, Alan Scott, Alan Schaverien, Geert van Meel and Cyril Gold - all of whom are from the London area, are alleged to have carried out a £5 million ticket fraud.

Among those conned were the parents of Olympic swimming champion Rebecca Adlington, fraud crime solicitors may be interested to hear.

The charges relate to goods sold by Xclusive Leisure & Hospitality and Xclusive Tickets Limited.

All six are due to appear in court in Camberwell on October 15th, those involved in investigating fraud crimes may be interested to hear.

They are facing various charges, including money laundering, breaching a directors disqualification order and fraud.

In other news, recently Neil Munroe, a spokesman for Equifax, claimed that historically when times are hard, cases of crimes such as identity fraud tend to increase.
