A Scottish bank manager has been jailed for fraud crimes.
Susan Burnett pleaded guilty to fraud of nearly £7,500 and embezzlement worth £14,890.
Ms Burnett, who worked in Lloyds TSB branches in Fife and Edinburgh, was found to have stolen money from elderly customers and has now been give a 13-month prison sentence.
The 40-year-old committed the crimes between February 2005 and November 2006, including taking out loans in a customer's name.
She has since paid the money she obtained through her embezzlement and fraud crimes back, however, at court she was told by sheriff Derrick McIntyre that she could not "buy her way out of custody".
He added: "You were not just a bank teller stealing a few hundred pounds. You used your position of trust to facilitate these offences which makes it very grave indeed."
Recently, a study by Veritape suggested that call centres could be putting consumers at risk of fraud crimes due to a lack of compliance with industry standards.
