Published on 12 Aug 2009 under category: legal

A rail clerk has been found guilty of abusing his position to give himself cheap travel.

Stingray Dussan-Cabrera, a 20-year-old student, was given a ten-week suspended prison sentence for fraud crimes after appearing at the City of Westminster Magistrates Court.

These included one charge of attempted fraud, two for fraud and one count of false accounting.

The fraud crimes are in relation to Mr Dussan-Cabrera, who worked at London King's Cross station, issuing himself and his girlfriend with discounted travelcards.

One such incident came in January when he was caught using a fake ticket on a first-class service from London Euston to Warrington.

He was also ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and told to pay back £3,911 plus £85 in costs.

Last week, a man who claimed to be a chef who was trained in Paris and friends with Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver was jailed for fraud crimes.ADNFCR-2391-ID-19308997-ADNFCR
