Pharma firm files lawsuit

A medical firm has filed a lawsuit over a patent infringement dispute, it has been revealed.
Bayer Schering Pharma AG, Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals and the Schering Corporation have initiated the action against Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, those working in commercial litigation may be interested to hear.
The lawsuit concerns an application for approval made by Teva relating to a treatment for impotence.
According to the German firm, its rival is infringing a patent regarding products with a similarity to the Levitra treatment.
Bayer Schering Pharma's patent for Levitra does not run out until 2018, those involved with commercial litigation may be interested to learn.
In other news, last month Lawrence Kasanoff filed a lawsuit against Midway, which has entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy, regarding the intellectual property rights of an entertainment and video game franchise.
