MG Rover report set for release
Published on 7 Sep 2009 under category: legal
A report on the demise of MG Rover is set to be released this week, it has been revealed.
The document comes after a £16 million investigation into the collapse of the firm, insolvency solicitors may be interested to hear.
It is though that the report, which is set to be released on Friday (September 11th) will focus on the actions of the 'Phoenix Four' John Edwards, John Towers, Peter Beale and Nick Stephenson, who took over the company in 2000.
This comes shortly after a probe by the Serious Fraud Office into whether any fraud crimes took place towards the end of the company's operating ruled that there should not be a full-scale investigation into this issue.
In other news which may interest insolvency solicitors, last week property developer and entrepreneur Chek Whyte, who appeared on the Secret Millionaire TV series in 2007, was declared bankrupt at Leicester Crown Court.
