Jay Dykes 'drops case against Madonna'

Published on 22 Jun 2009 under category: legal

The Queen of Pop has been dropped from a white collar crime lawsuit filed against a company that she founded, it has been revealed.

Jay Dykes originally made the claim that has accused Madonna's Maverick Film of failing to return an investment loan he made to the organisation, the Associated Press reports.

It claims that the film production firm owes him hundreds of thousands and pounds and that it is also in breach of contract due to its failure to list him as a producer.

According to the news provider, Madonna and manager Guy Oseary founded the company together, although the singer no longer holds a stake in the organisation.

The Louisiana investor has agreed not to continue with its prosecution of Madonna over the incident, as she was not involved with the contracts that Mr Dykes had made with the group.

Last week, it was revealed that Eddie Van Halen is taking legal action against Nike over similarities between the design on one of its shoes and the design that features on his guitar.ADNFCR-2391-ID-19229541-ADNFCR
