Franchises 'safer way of starting business during recession'

Published on 13 Aug 2009 under category: legal

Franchise agreements could be a safe way of starting a new business in the credit crunch, it has been claimed.

This could represent a "viable alternative to starting from scratch", reports realbusiness.co.uk.

Darren Leppard told the news provider that there are several tips that those looking into franchise agreements should keep in mind.

He commented that those joining firms which involve hiring and firing of workers should look for employees who are honest, reliable and have experience.

Mr Leppard added that those in it for a quick return may be disappointed, but those that stick with it can flourish.

He said: "Franchising can be extremely hard at times. However if you have the drive, determination and attitude it can be a life changing decision."

Earlier this month, thefranchisemagazine.net reported that Chemex is looking for people who can "grow substantial business" to take up its latest selection of franchise agreement opportunities.ADNFCR-2391-ID-19311139-ADNFCR
