A franchise owner is set to open nine new outlets, according to a source.
Lee and Gill Fish are planning to launch the O'Briens cafes thanks to the success of the business, reports thefranchisemagazine.net.
In a move which demonstrates the benefits of franchise agreements, the pair are set to open nine outlets in the north east of England over the next year.
Mr Fish told the news provider: "Plans are to more than double the number of cafes for O'Briens in the area, building on the success of the eights already establish by different franchise owners in Newcastle, Sunderland and Durham."
He added that a new franchise is opening next month, with negotiations to sign more franchise agreements later in the year.
In related news, Danny O'Hara's Bradford business, which is part of the Drain Doctor Plumbing franchise, was recently named the most progressive new franchise at the group's awards.
