People looking for franchise agreements should opt for one which is backed by the British Franchise Association, it has been claimed.
Andrew Cutler, Card Connection franchise and sales director, told thefranchisemagazine.net, that membership to this body is a good starting point when undertaking the "daunting task" of finding this kind of business.
He added this is because these firms will have to comply with the organisations' code of ethics.
Mr Cutler stated: "I would also go for a franchise that provides a high standard of training and ongoing support, which will assist you to overcome the inevitable learning curve."
He went on to tell the website that people looking for franchise agreements should sign up for firms that sell products that they are interested in.
In other news, Nick Strong, of Franchise Sales and Development in the UK, writing for selectyourfranchise.com, recently commented these kind of companies offer "proven business systems".
