Published on 26 Aug 2009 under category: legal
A major event which highlights the benefits of franchise agreements will take place in Birmingham on October 1st.
The ICC venue will host the 2009 British Franchise Association Franchisee of the Year Awards.
This aims to recognise the top performers in this field, with ten finalists battling it out to be crowned the winner.
A wide range of businesses and sectors are represented in the nominations.
These include Julia Levene for her running of Little Kickers, Mike Smith who has been picked due to his performance at his McDonalds' franchise and Surjit and Balvinder Dhillion, put forward thanks to their work at the O2.
The winner of the award will receive £5,000 cash for event sponsors HSBC, while those taking the silver and bronze gongs will be given £3,000 and £2,000 respectively.
Earlier this month, realbusiness.co.uk reported that franchise agreements could be a good way for people to start up a business during the credit crunch saying it may be safer than the traditional methods of launching a firm.
