Anderson denies bankruptcy rumours

Published on 12 Nov 2009 under category: legal

Pamela Anderson has denied reports that she is on the verge of bankruptcy.

The model and actress has been subject to rumours of financial difficulty after it was claimed earlier this year that she owes $1 million (£666,000) in tax and contractor bills.

However, the 42-year-old told WTVJ reports that she could file for bankruptcy are "garbage".

She made the point by detailing her real estate portfolio.

Anderson commented to the news provider: "I have a beautiful home in Canada, nine little cabins on the dock that I'm building and a store in the front. That's going to be kind of my sanctuary. I think eventually I'll be out of L.A. and I'll be living more on Vancouver Island. And Malibu, I can't get away from Malibu... I'm all over the place."

Rumours that the former Baywatch star was in financial trouble grew when she moved into a trailer while work was carried out on her Malibu home.

Earlier this month, former Eastenders actor Joe Swash was declared bankrupt.
