There could be growing demand for clinical negligence legal services, based on the publication of new statistics.
Independent online search analysts Greenlight has revealed in its Legal Sector Report May 2010 that online enquiries for "solicitors" made up more than half of all legal term searches.
Legal services could see significant business in areas of clinical and medical negligence.
Close to a quarter (21 per cent) of legal search terms were related to negligence.
Around eight per cent were for accident claims and 'no win, no fee'.
Other areas of legal services were equally in demand, reflecting more willingness from consumers to instigate claims.
These included finance law, with the terms 'wills' and 'conveyancing' commanding around 42 per cent of total search volume.
Divorce was the most popular term in family law, constituting around 33,100 searches in May.
In addition, the statistics found that more firms were starting to engage with social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook.
